Farmers Kale with Mashed Potatoes and Other Vegetables (Boerenkool - Farmers Kale or Curly Kale)

  For 2 persons

1 Kilo (4.5 Ounce) Potatoes

2 Sweet Potatoes

5 Normal Carrots

1/4 Cauliflower

1 whole Curly Kale (Farmers Kale - Boerenkool)

2 Teaspoons of Sea Salt

1 Teaspoon Black Ground Pepper

1 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg

1 cup of Milk (optional)

2 tablespoons Butter or Olive Oil

3 cups Water

1 Red Paprika

Peal the Potatoes (or if your lazy and you have new potatoes, just cut them) and cut them in half.

Boil for 20 minutes with 1 teaspoon of Salt.

Cut the Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, and Cauiliflower boil separate from the Potatoes as you want to keep th water.

Cut the Kale (or if there is not so much time, boil it, and cut it up with a blender), and boil for 8-10 minutes.

Drain the Potato water as to get rid of the unhealthy starch,  of the water and add the milk and bring to a boil, add the other vegetables and a little (1/2 cup to a cup), add the butter, Nutmeg and Black Pepper, and mash, with a masher. Now drain the Kale (you can keep the water for adding in the Mashed Potatatoes, drinking, cooking, or adding the next day if it's dry.) and add to the mashed Potato.

After serving it on the plate, make a little hole in the middle of the 'Boerenkool' and add some Olive Oil.

Cut up the Red Paprika in small pieces, and serve on top of the Boerenkool.

Serve with vegetarian cheese, cream cheese and Sea Salt.

Serve also with Bell Pepper (Paprika) salad, with Tomatoes, Iceberg Salad, and Cooked Buckwheat, Lemon and Olive Oil.
