Life's tough and then you die
This saying, although spoken by Lord Krsna Himself is not true in the absolute or spiritual sense. It is simply to say that material life, or rather the material conception is temporary, and leads to misery. Rather we can be positive, and understand that the soul is eternal.
There are some varieties of this saying, and many people seem to think this is an awesome truth, and in fact, it kind of is, but not really.
Yet what no one knows, that it was Krsna who said this. In fact He is quoted in Bhagavad-gita As It Is, as "duhkalayam asasvatam" (Chapter 8, Text 15), or life is full of misery and temporary ("this temporary world, which is full of miseries").
The sanskrit word duhk, means suffering, but can also means very difficult. A name of Lord Siva's consort is Durga, which means very difficult to go, or to leave. This material world is referred to as durga, very difficult to leave, like a prison house. Durga is an expansion of Maya. The word, Maya, sanskrit for material world, also refers to the personality Maya, the Goddess who is in charge of the Material World or Material Energy, and, not so well known; she is a devotee of Lord Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In this matter, we have to remark that persons, have a tendency to lord it over material nature, or the material world, to abuse Maya. And this will result in temporary happiness and suffering. And temporary happiness is not real happiness.
Just some thoughts, "duhkalayam asasvatam", life is tough, and then you die.
Actually this is not true in the absolute or spiritual sense. Life is not temporary, and like the soul, life is full of bliss.
When you surrender to Krsna, everything will be very easy, life will be sweet, and eternal.
Krsna's name is Madhu, or Madhu Gopal, the sweet cowherd boy.
How to surrender? Start by chanting Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare
Note that the energy of the Lord, Hara, or Radharani, Krsna's eternal consort, is referred to 8 times, and Krsna 4, and His direct expansion, His brother, the source of all pleasure, also 4 times.
