The Bhagavad-gita, the Srimad Bhagavatam and the Sri Caitanya-caritamrta - The Soul, The Body and The Heart of Krsna the Supreme Personality of Godhead

 

• Bhagavad Gita is the Soul (Atma): It provides the eternal, unchanging spark of life and the fundamental identity (A-B-C-D) that animates spiritual practice.
• Srimad Bhagavatam is the Body (Vigraha): It is the "literary incarnation" or the physical form of the Lord, with its 12 cantos corresponding to His limbs.
• Chaitanya Charitamrita is the Heart (Hrdaya): It contains the innermost emotional essence and the most confidential "pulse" of the Lord's love. 

This aligns with the philosophical stages: The Gita (Soul) establishes our relationship (Sambandha), the Bhagavatam (Body) provides the active service and form (Abhideya), and the Chaitanya Charitamrita (Heart) reveals the ultimate goal of pure love (Prayojana). 

This progression signifies that the 

Bhagavad Gita

 establishes the basic philosophy of the soul and the Supreme (sambandha-jnana); the 

Srimad Bhagavatam

 describes the application of that philosophy through the lives of devotees and the form of the Lord (abhideya-jnana); and the 

Chaitanya Charitamrita

 reveals the internal, ecstatic moods of the Lord's love (prayojana-jnana).
