Pizza Bread - Pizza Broodje

For 2 persons

Ingredients:

4 slices of brown bread

2 teaspoons Asafoetida

1 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper

1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg (optional)

1 teaspoon Seas Salt

1 Tablespoon Oregano

2 Teaspoons Italian Mixed herbs (optional)

2 Teaspoon of Sugar

8 Tablespoons Tomato Paste (the best is to buy Tomato past in a iron Tube)

4 Tablespoons Olive Oil

4 Slices of Vegetarian or Vegan Cheese

1 Italian Tomato (Romano)

The easiest is to prepare this for the grill (oven). Other wise, if you don't have a grill first fry the breads in a Baking Pan with Olive Oil and Asafetida. Fry one side, then flip it around. Then continue on with the adding of Tomato Paste. 

Add the Olive Oil on the Bread, and spread it out. Add the Tomato Paste on the bread and add the Asafetida, Oregano, Mixed Italian Herbs (optional), Sugar, Salt, Cayenne Pepper, Ground Pepper,  Ground Nutmeg (The best way to Ground Nutmeg is with a Pestle and Mortar) then with a knife or spoon, spread out the Tomato Paste, mixing it all together. Add the one slice of Cheese on every bread, cut the Tomato, and add the slices on top of the Cheese. Sprinkle the Tomatoes with Pepper and Salt and a little Oregano and Mixed Italian Herbs (optional). Put under the grill for 5 minutes. Or Bake in a frying pan for 5 minutes while covering the breads with a lid.

Serve hot.

If baking in the Frying Pan, after adding and mixing the ingredients as above; you can do this while it's in the pan, or gently take them out, lower the heat, and cover with a Lid until the cheese melts. Serve Hot.
