Halva (Halava/halvah) - Carob or Chocolate, Caramel, Peanut Halva

For 4 persons

Time: 30 minutes

1 cup (250 grams) of Semolina

1 cup of Cane Sugar

1 Tablespoon Vanilla Sugar

1 cup (250 grams) Peanuts

1 Tablespoon of Sunflower Oil

1 cup (250 grams) of Butter (or coconut oil (with peanut butter) for vegan)

5 Tablespoons of Cacoa or Carob

1 cup of Milk (or water for vegan)

Take a frying pan and heat the Sunflower Oil, put in the peanuts and fry them for 5 to 10 minutes.

Put them aside, and melt 3 or 4 tablespoons of the butter and add the sugar and melt the sugar until it becomes a caramel color liquid. Add the Semolina and fry for 10 to 15 minutes. Add the Milk and stir, until it's soft. Add the Cacoa or Carob, and Vanilla Sugar and stir it in. When ready, turn off the heat, and add the peanuts.

Serve hot.
