kṛṣṇa deva! bhavantaḿ vande

man-mānasa-madhukaram arpaya nija-pada-pańkaja-makarande

Synonyms

kṛṣṇa — O Kṛṣṇa; deva — O Lord; bhavantam — unto You; vande — I offer praise; mānasa — mind; madhukaram — bumblebee; arpaya — please place; nija — Your own; pada — feet; paṅkaja — lotus; makarande — in the honeyTranslationO Lord Sri Krsna! Translation

O Lord Sri Krsna! I am offering a prayer unto You.

Please let the bee of my mind be offered the nectarian honey of Your lotus feet.

yadyapi samādhiṣu vidhir api paśyati na tava nakhāgra-marīcim

idam icchāmi niśamya tavācyuta! tad api kṛpādbhuta-vīcim

Synonyms

yadyapi — although; samādhiṣu — in meditation; vidhiḥ — Lord Brahmā; api — even; paśyati — sees; na — not; tava — Your; nakha-agra — tip of the toenail; marīcim — ray of light; idam — this; icchāmi — I desire; niśamya — having heard; tava — Your; acyuta — O infallible Lord; tat api — still; kṛpā — mercy; adbhuta — wonderful; vīcim — wave

Translation

Although Brahma in full samadhi cannot catch a glimpse of even a ray of the effulgence from the tips of Your toe-nails still, O Acyuta!

Having heard of the waves of Your astonishing mercy, I long to receive Your grace.

bhaktir udañcati yadyapi mādhava! na tvayi mama tila-mātrī

parameśvaratā tad api tavādhika-durghaṭa-ghaṭana-vidhātrī

Synonyms

bhaktiḥ — devotion; udañcati — arises; yadyapi — although; mādhava — O Mādhava (Lord of fortune); na — not; tvayi — unto You; mama — my; tila-mātrī — even as small as a sesame seed; parameśvaratā — inconceivable power; tat api — still; tava — Your; adhika — exceedingly; durghaṭa — impossible; ghaṭana — making happen; vidhātrī — executor

Translation

O Madhava! Although I don't possess even a sesame seed of bhakti for You, still, by Your inconceivable power which makes the impossible possible, please fulfill the desires of my heart.

ayam avilolatayādya sanātana! kalitādbhuta-rasa-bhāra

nivasatu nityam ihāmṛta-nindini-vindan madhurima-sāram

Synonyms

ayam — this (mind); avilolatayā — without flickering (steadily); adya — today; sanātana — O eternal Lord (also refers to Sanātana Gosvāmī); kalita — accepted; adbhuta — wonderful; rasa — mellows; bhāram — abundance; nivasatu — let it reside; nityam — eternally; iha — here (in Your pastimes/feet); amṛta — nectar; nindini — mocking; vindan — experiencing; madhurima — sweetness; sāram — essence

Translation

He Sanatana! Because Your lotus feet are filled with such wonderful rasa, let the bee of my mind always reside unwaveringly in that nectar which puts everything else to shame, for they are the essence of all sweetness. This is my only prayer.
